Country Southern Rock duo, Montgomery Gentry is Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry. Montgomery Gentry first met in Lexington, KY, both playing the local club scene. Montgomery Gentry landed a deal with Columbia thanks to a showcase performance. In 1999 Montgomery Gentry's debut album, "Tattoos & Scars" was released and made the Billboard Top Ten Country Charts. Four songs from this album made the Top 20 -- "Hillbilly Shoes," "Daddy Won't Sell the Farm," "Lonely and Gone" and "All Night Long."
Montgomery Gentry was named the CMA's Duo of the Year in 2000. Their 2001 sophomore release, "Carrying On" made the Country Top Ten and produced the Number Two smash "Montgomery Gentry Couldn't Change Me." Montgomery Gentry's 2002, "My Town" release brought the duo their third Top Five hit.
